The First Ammendment Rights.

The First Amendment Rights allows citizens of the United States to criticize the government, in speech or press, without the fear of getting in trouble. Our rights are not unlimited. The government can make laws or rules to restrict certain standards to protect our government. The restrictions of rights, although, must reasonable and must apply to everyone equally.
As citizens of the United States have many duties in this government. One of the duties of all Americans is to obey the law. If you disobey laws, you endanger others and interfere with smooth functioning of society. If you ever think a law needs to be changed, you can work through your elected representatives to improve it. Another one of the main things Americans has to do is pay taxes. Our government uses tax money to provide many things for the U.S. citizens. Another one of our duties is to defend the nation.
We also have Responsibilities to do as Americans, but they are not clear cut duties. Responsibilities are to volunteer; people are not going to be punished if they do not do these responsibilities. One of our responsibilities is to voice your opinion when you do not agree with something in the government. When the government learns that most people agree or disagree with the issue, it usually follows their wishes. Others responsibilities include, respecting diversity, accepting responsibility for your actions, and supporting your family.
